Sons of the American Legion Detachment of Indiana
Paul Rush was elected Detachment Commander at the annual Detachment Convention held in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 8, 2023, by the delegates representing the over 35,000 members of the Sons of The American Legion.
Commander Rush has been a 29-year member of the Sons of The American Legion New Haven Squadron 330 in the 4th District.
His eligibility for membership is through his father, Kenneth E Rush, who served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1942-1945 as AS, S2c, MM2c, and MM1c on the USS Emmons (DD 457).
Paul resides in New Haven, Indiana with his wife Lucy. They have 4 daughters and 4 sons between them along with several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Paul has 3 sisters and 2 brothers in-law.

Commander Rush’s project is COTA (Children’s Organ Transplant Association) of Indiana. Donations will be accepted at all District and Detachment meetings or may be mailed directly to the Sons of The American Legion, Detachment of Indiana earmarked for COTA.
